The Story of Our Cells

비움의 상징인 달항아리 안에서 끊임 없이 증식하는 세포의 움직임을 표현한 작품이다. 

“비우려 할 수록 물건이 늘어나는 일상”에서 착안해 비움과 생성의 역설을 

세포분열에 빗대어 유머러스하게 풀어냈다. 

전통적인 정서와 현대적 유기체의 이미지를 결합해 “살아있는 비움 ” 이라는 새로운 조형 언어를 제시한다.

This work expresses the constant movement of cellular proliferation within a moon jar,a traditional symbol of emptiness.Inspired by the paradox of everyday life where the more we try to empty, the more things seem to accumulate the piece humorously reinterprets the tension between emptiness and creation through the metaphor of cell division. By combining traditional sensibility with the imagery of contemporary organic forms, it presents a new sculptural language of “living emptiness.”
